Damon Albarn Apologizes to Taylor Swift, But Her Fans Don't Buy It
Gorillaz star Damon Albarn has responded to Taylor Swift with an apology, but her fans aren’t buying it and are calling him out again.
Taylor previously fired back at Damon after he claimed that she “doesn’t write her own songs.”
“I was such a big fan of yours until I saw this. I write ALL of my own songs. Your hot take is completely false and SO damaging. You don’t have to like my songs but it’s really f–ked up to try and discredit my writing. WOW,” Taylor tweeted to Damon after seeing the article.

Damon responded to the tweet and said, “I totally agree with you. i had a conversation about songwriting and sadly it was reduced to clickbait. I apologise unreservedly and unconditionally. The last thing I would want to do is discredit your songwriting. I hope you understand.”

And it’s ok to have different opinions on the definition of being a songwriter. But you did say “she doesn’t write her songs” and that “co-writing isn’t the same as writing”. It’s not a reduced clickbait, it’s part of your words. Please at least own up to what u said.

Nah. The whole "co-writing isn't writing" thing is still BS, especially if you name Billie Eilish as a shining example of a songwriter when Billie has never even written any song by herself. Taylor wrote an entire album by herself. This was a personal attack.
