Elizabeth Holmes Found Guilty on 4 of 11 Counts - See Full Verdict Recap
Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes has been found guilty on four charges of fraud.
Prosecutors laid out evidence that showed that Holmes lied to investors about Theranos’ technology. Her defense blamed others for the company’s problems, but it appears the jury wasn’t swayed.
The New York Times reports that each of the four counts carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. Holmes is expected to appeal the decision.
Last year, we learned that Holmes and her partner Billy Evans welcomed a baby while she was awaiting her criminal trial.
Amanda Seyfried will be playing Holmes in the upcoming Hulu drama series Dropout and we have photos of her on set.
