Where Is Laurence Fishburne (aka Morpheus) in 'Matrix 4'? Here's What He Said When Asked

Unless he has a super surprise cameo, Laurence Fishburne is not featured in The Matrix 4 aka The Matrix Resurrections.

Original stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie Ann Moss are back, but Laurence was not asked to participate.

“I am not in the next Matrix movie and you’d have to ask (director) Lana Wachowski why, ’cause I don’t have an answer for that,” he said when asked.

The interviewer then remarked that he hoped the actor was just lying to hide a surprise appearance in the film, but Laurence didn’t confirm or deny the speculation.

In 2020, Laurence expressed the same sentiment when asked, saying, “I have not been asked to join them, which is fine. I am hopeful that it will be wonderful and it will satisfy audiences and that people will love it.”
