Jordana Brewster Reveals Super Interesting Details About 'F9' Final Scene (with the Family Dinner)
The new movie F9 features a family dinner as the final scene and Jordana Brewster just revealed some really interesting details about how they filmed that moment.
Without giving away too many spoilers right here, let’s just say that most of the main cast members were part of the scene.
The scene even ends with a nod to the late Paul Walker‘s character Brian O’Connor by leaving an empty chair for him at the table and showing his car pulling up to the house.
So, how was the scene filmed?

“A lot of that scene was shot piecemeal,” Jordan told The Hollywood Reporter. There were issues with scheduling all of the cast members to be in town at the same time, so they had to film the scene in pieces.
While they originally wanted to film the scene at the actual Fast & Furious house in Los Angeles, the scene was filmed in London.
“We also had weather issues,” Jordana added. “There’d be a couple of hours where it was sunny and we’d run and shoot and we’d wait a bunch of hours and it would start raining and we couldn’t.”
Jordana revealed that director Justin Lin even used his personal driver as a stand-in at one time. She said, “I’m carrying the potato salad or whatever I’m bringing to the barbeque and I see Justin’s driver standing in for the actor I’m supposed to come in and hug and speak Portuguese to. I’m like, ‘Justin, what up? I don’t understand.’”
Jordana is weighing in on the future of the franchise and possibly having Paul‘s daughter join the cast.
