Sharon Osbourne Speaks Out For First Time Since Leaving 'The Talk'

Sharon Osbourne gave her first interview after leaving The Talk to Bill Maher on his HBO series, Real Time With Bill Maher.

During their discussion, the 68-year-old television personality opened up about the situation that caused her to leave The Talk after 11 years on the hosting panel.

“I’ve been called so many things in my life, I am so used to being called names, but a racist is one I will not take,” Sharon re-iterated. “I’m going to be just fine, I’m fine, as I said I’m a fighter, I’m fine.”

Sharon left The Talk after the she and fellow host Sheryl Underwood had gotten into a heated discussion about Piers Morgan‘s comments about Meghan Markle, following her own interview with Oprah Winfrey.

After two weeks hiatus off the air, it was announced that Sharon would be leaving.

“It’s not fair, because it isn’t about being a racist,” she added in the discussion. “It’s about maybe about not knowing what is correct and woke for your language that day, cause it changes from day to day.”

Bill then agreed, saying, “The idea in there is that you have two choices if you are White, you are either a racist or a racist and you don’t know it.”
