Jeep Pulls Bruce Springsteen's Super Bowl Commercial Following DWI News

One of the biggest commercials from Super Bowl weekend was Jeep, starring Bruce Springsteen.

However, the company has decided to press pause on the ad following the news of the 71-year-old’s DWI last November.

The arrest was only made public this week and Jeep has made the decision to pull the ad for the time being.

“It would be inappropriate for us to comment on the details of a matter we have only read about and we cannot substantiate,” Jeep shared in a statement to Variety. “But it’s also right that we pause our Big Game commercial until the actual facts can be established. Its message of community and unity is as relevant as ever. As is the message that drinking and driving can never be condoned.”

According to a previous report, Bruce was arrested on November 14, 2020 at the Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, New Jersey and, was “cited for DWI, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area.”

He was reportedly cooperative throughout his arrest.
