Lorde Reveals Part Of Why She Stepped Away From Social Media & The Public Eye

Lorde is getting candid on why she chooses to step away from the social media side of life.

During an feature with Interview magazine, in which she talked to Cazzie David, the 23-year-old Kiwi musician says that stepping away from Twitter, Instagram brought her back to life.

“Part of what made me peace out on social media, apart from feeling like I was losing my free will, was the massive amounts of stress I was feeling about our planet, about systemic racism, and about police brutality in this country,” Lorde confessed.

Earlier this year, Lorde did return periodically to social media to share with fans that she was still alive and speak out on the important issues, like police brutality.

Apart from also teasing new music, Lorde made major headlines after stepping out with Justin Warren, a 41-year-old Universal Music executive, who many have thought to be her boyfriend.
