Woody Allen Slams the Actors Who Have Denounced Him

Woody Allen is speaking out to slam actors who have denounced him amid allegations from his daughter Dylan Farrow that he abused her as a child.

In a new interview with The Guardian, the filmmaker says that he never thought people would take Dylan‘s accusations seriously.

“I thought people would see it as laughable rubbish right away and from day one I never really took it seriously,” he said. “I mean, it’s like being confronted with a story that I murdered six people with a machine gun.”

Timothee Chalamet, Greta Gerwig, Rebecca Hall, Colin Firth, and Rachel Brosnahan are among the actors who have all vowed to never work with Allen again.

“It’s silly. The actors have no idea of the facts and they latch on to some self-serving, public, safe position. Who in the world is not against child molestation?” he said in response to celebs speaking out against him. “That’s how actors and actresses are, and [denouncing me] became the fashionable thing to do, like everybody suddenly eating kale.”

Dylan spoke out about actors still willing to work with Allen a couple years ago.
