David Beckham Shares His Support For Prince Harry During Royal Transition

David Beckham is sending his support to Prince Harry, following his transition from a senior royal with wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

Speaking with ET recently, the 44-year-old former athlete opened up about Harry and Meghan‘s choice to step down as senior royals and put focus on their family first.

“I haven’t spoken to Harry about him moving. We speak as friends and that’s the most important thing for me,” David shared. “I think he’s enjoying being a young father for the first time and that’s what we always spoke about. When you are a parent, it changes everything for you. He always needs to be happy.”

He continued, “We love him and he’s an amazing person — and that’s the most important thing — but I’m proud to see him growing up as an individual and being that person that every father wants to be.”

“Every father wants to be loving to their children and that’s what I see with him.”

David and his designer wife, Victoria Beckham, were guests at Harry and Meghan‘s wedding in 2018.

Prince Harry made one of his final appearances as a senior royal at the Travalyst tourism summit in Edinburgh, Scotland.
