Palace Spokesperson Responds to Report That Queen Elizabeth Is Retiring at 95

There have been rumors circulating for a while now that Queen Elizabeth, 93, might step down from her duties at the age of 95 with the intention of her son, Prince Charles, becoming King.

The claim was first put out there in a book by Robert Jobson from 2018, where he stated, “One senior aide told me that the Queen has given the matter of her passing hears considerable thought and believes, that, if she is still alive at ninety-five she will consider passing the reign to Charles.”

With everything going on with Prince Andrew, the rumors once again surfaced. However, Prince Charles‘ office is denying any of these rumors.

“There are no plans for any change in arrangements at the age of 95 — or any other age,” a spokesperson told People.

After Prince Charles, Prince William is next in line to the throne, with his son Prince George next in line.
