Prince Harry Wore His Remembrance Poppy Differently For This Reason

Prince Harry was wearing a remembrance poppy on Remembrance Sunday (November 10) – but it wasn’t like the ones worn by the rest of the royal family.

The 35-year-old royal was in fact wearing a poppy on his cap, tucked above his left ear and pinned to the Royal Marine cap.

If you didn’t know, the poppy has been used since 1921 to commemorate military members who have died in war.

Harry did so because he was following Royal Marine orders. In doing so, has to wear his paper poppy on his cap behind the cap badge, according to a royal source.

He also wore a ceremonial uniform of the Royal Marines as Captain General of the regiment, which he took over from Prince Philip.
