Britney Spears' Dad Cleared of Child Abuse Charges After Alleged Altercation with Her Son

Britney Spears‘ dad Jamie Spears has been cleared of child abuse charges after an alleged altercation with one of her sons.

On Tuesday (September 17), the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office announced that criminal charges would not be filed against the 37-year-old entertainer’s dad due to “insufficient proof that a criminal offense was committed.”

Late last month, Britney‘s ex-husband Kevin Federline filed a child abuse claim after Jamie allegedly got into a physical altercation with Kevin and Britney‘s 13-year-old son, Sean.

According to the police report, Jamie allegedly “violently shook” Sean after breaking down his bedroom door to reach him. Kevin was then granted a temporary restraining order for Sean and brother Jayden, 12, after the situation.

Shortly afterwards, Jamie officially stepped down as her conservator.
