Milo Ventimiglia Tells 'Kimmel' He Couldn't Look Dogs In The Eye in 'Art of Racing in the Rain'

Milo Ventimiglia stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday night (August 1) and dished all about having to work with dogs in his brand new movie, The Art of Racing in the Rain!

The 42-year-old This Is Us star told Jimmy that in order for him to have a good scene with his dog co-stars in The Art of Racing in the Rain, he had to stop looking at them in the eye.

Milo said that he discovered from the film’s dog trainer that he needed to look elsewhere: “She goes, ‘Were you looking the dog in the eye?’ and I go ‘Yeah.’ She goes, ‘You are his alpha, he won’t challenge you. So look him in the center of the forehead, look him in the ear but don’t look him in the eye,’” he recalled.

Milo Ventimiglia also talked about his parents lack of interest in his career, introducing them to Sylvester Stallone, going on a USO Tour in the Middle East and doing a scene from This is Us for the soldiers.

That same day, Milo joined his co-star Amanda Seyfried on the red carpet at the premiere of their movie The Art of Racing in the Rain.
